Expedition Power Planner is designed to keep your data on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information to any server.

Data We Collect

Short answer: none. Expedition Power Planner does not collect any personal data, usage analytics, crash reports, device identifiers, or location information. There are no user accounts and no sign-in.

Data Stored on Your Device

The app saves your expedition plans, gear loadouts, settings, and on-trip logs to your device's local storage (AsyncStorage on iOS/Android, localStorage on web). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it using the app's share or export features.

Network Requests

The app makes one type of network request: weather data fetches from the Open-Meteo API (https://open-meteo.com/). These requests include only the latitude, longitude, and date range of your selected expedition location. No personal identifiers, device IDs, or IP-linked tracking data are included. Open-Meteo is a free, open-source weather API. You can review their privacy practices at https://open-meteo.com/en/terms.

No other network requests are made. The app does not use analytics services, advertising SDKs, crash reporters, or any third-party tracking tools.

In-App Purchases

Expedition Power Planner offers a Pro subscription through the Apple App Store. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID. Apple's privacy policy governs the transaction: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.

Children's Privacy

Expedition Power Planner is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children. Because the app collects no personal data from anyone, there is no risk of inadvertent collection from minors.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any user data with third parties. There is no data to share — nothing is collected.

Data Deletion

All app data is stored locally on your device. To delete it, uninstall the app or clear the app's storage in your device settings. On the web version, clear your browser's localStorage. No server-side data exists to delete.

Your Rights

Because Expedition Power Planner does not collect or process personal data, privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and similar frameworks do not impose data-subject obligations on us for this app. That said, if you have any questions or concerns about your privacy, we are happy to respond. Changes to This Policy

If we change the app's data practices, we will update this page and revise the effective date at the top. If we ever begin collecting personal data, we will notify users within the app before any collection begins.
